Best Fall Lipstick Colors Under $3!

Hello loves!
I have been on a major shopping kick lately, partly due to the fact that it's now the fall time which is when I like to do most of my shopping since it is my favorite season of the year, and partly because I barely did any shopping for myself while I was pregnant, and so now I have about 9 months of shopping to catch up on. I did a huge makeup clean out back in March, and I just kept things that I actually used, which while I was pregnant was not a lot. I don't know what it was, but I just couldn't bring myself to go full on glam every morning and apply makeup or do my hair, so for the majority of my pregnancy, I lived in a messy bun and a super simple and natural makeup look on the days that I even bothered putting on makeup. About a month ago, I decided to let myself splurge a little and pick up new makeup products, and I bought some colors from the Wet N Wild matte lipstick line and I remembered how much I love lipstick colors for fall! A few days ago, I went to Walgreens to pick up a photo order and I stopped by the makeup aisle and I picked up more colors from the matte line from Wet N Wild, as well as from their $1 line. I think the $1 line lipsticks definitely got a makeover and maybe even got reformulated, because I do not remember them being that amazing! I picked up a few colors and I wanted to share my picks for fall lipstick colors all for under $3! I obviously have more drugstore lipsticks, and I will share those with you guys in a future post, but I really wanted to share these super inexpensive and amazing colors for fall with those of you who may be looking to change up your lipstick this season! I hope this post is helpful and please be sure to snap me some pictures (@cynthiap18), as well as tag me in any Instagram (@makefashionyourown) pictures of you guys wearing these colors!

TBT: Favorite Fall Outfits

Hi beauties!
So sorry for the late upload, but I finally had a second alone today since Baby Edward is finally asleep and all my work is done, and I really wanted to get something up on my blog. Around this time last year, is when my style started changing and maturing a little bit, and I think that some of my outfits from last fall are definitely some of my favorite outfits I've ever styled. I picked my top 8 favorites from last year, and I wanted to share them with you guys. Check back in a couple of days, and I will have links to similar items as the ones that I'm wearing!

Dash of Gold.

Hello beautiful readers!
I want to start off by saying that I missed you guys so much this past week, but for those of you who follow me on Snapchat (@cynthiap18), you guys saw that my little man was hospitalized for 7 days due to an infection in his blood. I won't go into much detail, but thankfully my husband and I recognized that he wasn't acting like himself and took him into the ER only a couple hours after he developed a fever, and they caught the infection right away and treated it in time and it didn't turn into anything else and it won't have any effect on him as he gets older. He was discharged on Sunday and he's doing so well, so thank you everyone for your well wishes and prayers for him. It was a stressful, overwhelming, and frightening time for my little family, but our little guy is so strong and he pulled through! I had planned on posting some blog posts the week he was in the hospital since he slept quite a lot due to the antibiotics he was on, but I couldn't concentrate long enough to get much blogging done.

Since getting married and becoming a mom, I have to say that my style definitely matured a lot but not in what I consider a bad way lol. I like more neutrals and don't wear as bold prints as I used to, but I feel like I still have fun when I get dressed in the morning. I know this is gonna sound very shallow, but I am so afraid of people saying I dress like a mom. Yes, I know that sounded as bad reading it as it did when I was writing this post. I just feel like theres a certain way that people think moms and wives are supposed to dress, but I'm still only 21 years old, and being perceived as those things by the way I dress are not something that I want. I love being a mom and a wife and those are my two most important roles, but I feel like my style and the way I dress shouldn't reflect that. Am I the only one who feels that way? Any who, when I was getting dressed this morning, I decided to once again pull out some of my favorite maternity clothes (this shirt and jeans) and style them in a way that was much sassier than how I would've worn them when I was pregnant. I love the look of gold and navy blue, so I went with these strappy flats that I purchased last December and I totally forgot about until I did a little clean out in my closet at my parents house and discovered them all over again. I'm obsessed with this layered pearl necklace that I found at Walmart for only $3 this past weekend when I was picking little man up some more formula. Thank you by the way to all the bloggers that have been posting about all the amazing fall stuff Walmart came out with this year. I picked up quite a lot of stuff, and theres still a couple items that I'm looking for, so I'll be posting about them once I purchase those. Expect a full (or even a couple of blog posts) around all the items I purchased there. I went with my signature bun and a bold lip for my hair and makeup and threw on this small bag my hubby gifted me when we were dating.

I love stripes for fall so expect to see more looks with stripes soon! What are your favorite looks for fall? Comment down below or head on over to my Instagram (@makefashionyourown) and comment on one of my pictures and let me know!

Summer Days Drifting Away.

Hi loves!
It's so secret that I LOVE the fall time. The falling leaves, the layering, the chilly nights, the pumpkin spice everything. Fall is magical. It feels like fall brings a fresh start every year, and this year that's especially true for me. I'm starting a new chapter in my life as a mommy, and I'm starting fresh with my blog once again. Today's look was created around this amazing BCBG long cardigan. I scored it at Goodwill a few months ago, and it was actually intended for my Instagram shop, but I fell in love with it so much that I decided to keep it for myself and wait for the fall time to try wearing it, and I am honestly so happy I kept it! I already have about 3 or 4 different outfit ideas in my mind for how I want to wear this in the future, so expect to see quite a lot of this cardigan. As I said in my last post, I feel like I'm always rushing out the door and that combined with being a mommy now and trying to be practical, has really changed and evolved my style. Last fall, I wore a lot of skirts and shorts, but this fall, I'm more of a jeans a v-neck kind of girl. I purchased these jeans when I was about 3 months pregnant and I wore them up until the day I gave birth, and they still fit! They're from Forever 21 and they're in a "Boyfriend Jeans" style, and they're seriously my favorite pair of jeans ever. I also purchased this white v-neck when I was about 8 months pregnant from Target for only $12, and I love the fit and feel of it so much that I went back last weekend and bought it in 3 more colors and I'll be back this weekend to purchase 3 more. They're just so cute and they go with seriously everything and I have been looking for a tee like this for years and I'm so glad I finally found them! I decided to pair my outfit with some booties because there is just something about this color boots with the color blue of my cardigan paired with some distressed jeans and a simple white tee. I am in love with this outfit and I'll probably wear it again multiple times before fall is over. I think I'm going to be posting every other day, and I'm going to try to stick to that, but please don't hate me if I don't. It will be every 3 days at the most, but sometimes it's so hard to find some time to myself and go shoot pictures. I love you all and thank you so much for the positive responses and feedback to my last blog post. You guys make me feel like I was never really gone and I love that feeling.

3 Quick and Easy Fall "Mommy" Outfits

Hello beautifuls!
I am so happy and excited to finally be back to doing outfit posts and getting back to a routine of posting on my blog. I again want to thank all of you who have stuck around the past year or so even though my blog didn't have the best content. It feels so good to be back in my old clothes and feeling good about myself and my appearance again. I still have some weight to lose, but I have to keep reminding myself that I only had Baby Edward 3 weeks ago and that it's going to take a little bit before my body goes back to normal and all the swelling goes down completely. I decided to incorporate my new mommy status in today's blog post, by showing you guys 3 really quick and easy outfits that I throw on when I'm in a rush and need to get out the door in a hurry. It's definitely very different trying to get myself and a newborn baby ready and packed up to go. It feels like I'm always rushing out the door. My husband recently treated me to a little shopping spree this past weekend to pick up some new fall clothes, so I of course picked up statement pieces to make my outfit stand out. You'll see all those pieces in these next 3 outfits and in more upcoming posts. I don't know exactly what kind of posting schedule I'll have, but I will let you all know in an upcoming post as soon as I know. I love you all so much and I missed you guys!

-Cynthia

Pinterest: Bar Cart Envy

Hello beautiful readers!
Today, as per usual, I was scrolling through my Pinterest feed (which is something I do all day long now that I'm due in 2 weeks) when I came across some pins of bar carts that gave me major envy. My husband and I are currently in the process of looking for a new place for our growing little family, so I pin a lot of home inspiration stuff to help me decorate when the times comes. Although neither of us are drinkers, I have wanted a cute little bar cart for forever and that's one of the things that will be going in our place for sure. I just think their so chic and sassy and bring so much personality to a home, so I decided to share my 6 favorite pins of bar carts with you guys to hopefully inspire you to add one to your home, inspire you to start a home inspiration board, or maybe just make you want to spend hours on Pinterest finding endless amazing home inspiration pins to add to your boards! Make sure you follow me on Pinterest so you can see all the stuff I've been pinning, but also because I want to see what you guys are pinning! My username is @cynthiapayan18 so make sure to follow me and also email me your usernames at makefashionyourown@gmail.com so I can check out your boards as well :) I'm gonna maybe try to make this a weekly thing where I share my favorite home inspiration finds from Pinterest, so email me or Snapchat me (@cynthiap18) your ideas for next weeks Pinterest inspiration blog post!
I love you guys and again thank you so much for being amazing and for your continued support this past year. Make Fashion Your Own wouldn't be what it is today without you guys and I honestly can't wait to see where we go next!

Midi Skirts Galore!

Hello beautiful friends!
I am not the only completely obsessed with the midi skirt trend right? I love them in all textures and fun patterns and I love how put together they instantly make you look whether you pair it with a silk blouse or a crop top. I've seen bloggers all over Instagram share their looks sporting a midi skirt, and I have pinned several hundred different outfit inspirations on how to wear it. I cannot wait to finally be able to wear skirts like this again in a few months, and yes I plan to wear this trend well into fall time and maybe even winter time if the weather permits. I think these types of skirts are just so timeless and chic, and so I wanted to share with you guys some of my favorites that I have spotted while online shopping recently, and the best part is that they're all under $50! I will be purchasing a couple off of this collage, and a few more, so make sure to follow me on Instagram (@makefashionyourown) to see which ones I end up buying as well as how I wear them these next couple of months.
I also wanted to thank you guys for your continued support and for helping my blog grow so much this past year even though I haven't been blogging the way I used to these past 7 months. I'm not even going to lie, pregnancy has been very hard on me and my body and I don't the confidence to wear stuff the way I used to at my normal weight. I know obviously with pregnancy your body changes, and you will gain weight, but it's been very hard for me to want to go shopping and pick up clothes for my pregnancy body, so for the most part I stick to maxi dresses and maternity shorts. Nothing fashionable at all, which is why I don't really do outfit posts anymore. Baby Edward will be here any day now, and I'm so excited to finally meet him, but also to start working on myself again and to get back to blogging. I miss you guys so much and I can't wait to see what the rest of this year holds.
A couple weeks ago my husband and I got our maternity pictures done, and since everyone has been loving the ones I've posted to my Instagram so far, so I have decided to share all of the pictures with you guys in a blog post within the next week or so, so make sure to also come back for that :)
