Dash of Gold.

Hello beautiful readers!
I want to start off by saying that I missed you guys so much this past week, but for those of you who follow me on Snapchat (@cynthiap18), you guys saw that my little man was hospitalized for 7 days due to an infection in his blood. I won't go into much detail, but thankfully my husband and I recognized that he wasn't acting like himself and took him into the ER only a couple hours after he developed a fever, and they caught the infection right away and treated it in time and it didn't turn into anything else and it won't have any effect on him as he gets older. He was discharged on Sunday and he's doing so well, so thank you everyone for your well wishes and prayers for him. It was a stressful, overwhelming, and frightening time for my little family, but our little guy is so strong and he pulled through! I had planned on posting some blog posts the week he was in the hospital since he slept quite a lot due to the antibiotics he was on, but I couldn't concentrate long enough to get much blogging done.

Since getting married and becoming a mom, I have to say that my style definitely matured a lot but not in what I consider a bad way lol. I like more neutrals and don't wear as bold prints as I used to, but I feel like I still have fun when I get dressed in the morning. I know this is gonna sound very shallow, but I am so afraid of people saying I dress like a mom. Yes, I know that sounded as bad reading it as it did when I was writing this post. I just feel like theres a certain way that people think moms and wives are supposed to dress, but I'm still only 21 years old, and being perceived as those things by the way I dress are not something that I want. I love being a mom and a wife and those are my two most important roles, but I feel like my style and the way I dress shouldn't reflect that. Am I the only one who feels that way? Any who, when I was getting dressed this morning, I decided to once again pull out some of my favorite maternity clothes (this shirt and jeans) and style them in a way that was much sassier than how I would've worn them when I was pregnant. I love the look of gold and navy blue, so I went with these strappy flats that I purchased last December and I totally forgot about until I did a little clean out in my closet at my parents house and discovered them all over again. I'm obsessed with this layered pearl necklace that I found at Walmart for only $3 this past weekend when I was picking little man up some more formula. Thank you by the way to all the bloggers that have been posting about all the amazing fall stuff Walmart came out with this year. I picked up quite a lot of stuff, and theres still a couple items that I'm looking for, so I'll be posting about them once I purchase those. Expect a full (or even a couple of blog posts) around all the items I purchased there. I went with my signature bun and a bold lip for my hair and makeup and threw on this small bag my hubby gifted me when we were dating.

I love stripes for fall so expect to see more looks with stripes soon! What are your favorite looks for fall? Comment down below or head on over to my Instagram (@makefashionyourown) and comment on one of my pictures and let me know!
