October Fall Shopping List

Hi lovelies!
Happy Friday :) Can you guys believe that October is just right around the corner? I still can't, but I'm so happy because October is my favorite month of the year. It's the month when the weather finally starts cooling down a little bit, but unlike in November, we probably won't get any snow (which I do not like very much.), the leaves start changing color and falling, haunted houses, pumpkin everything, candles, sweaters, boots, it's all amazing. October is just perfection and I like to dress like it so here are the items that I will be purchasing this month, but the best part is that everything on my list is under $40! (So even the most broke of fashionistas can afford some of the stuff on the list, woot woot!)

Black Studded Boots: Sold Out :(
Maroon Top: Sold Out :(
Black Infinity Scarf: Sold Out :(

September Q&A! + What I've Been Wearing Lately

Hi guys!
Today's post is definitely one of my favorites! I love having you guys ask questions and be able to get to know me a little bit better :)

If you want to ask questions for next month's Q&A, go on over to my Instagram page because towards the end of the month I post something asking you all to ask me whatever kinds of questions you want!

Have a great day :)

1. Favorite stores to shop at? -@amanjotkaur_
They vary from time to time because I tend to get bored with a store's selection of clothing, but the 3 that I always go back to (that aren't thrift stores) because of their great deals, are: Forever 21, Rue 21, and Wet Seal. I can always buy tons of cute stuff at those stores without ever breaking the bank, which is very important when you're in college! If you want to know all about my favorite places to thrift, you can click here to read my blogpost all about thrifting!

2. Favorite fall shoes/boots? -@mylilpony
My favorite fall shoes/boots would have to be either riding boots or booties. I wait all year long to finally be able to pull out my riding boots again. They're just so comfortable and make me look and feel so put together at the same time! You can find really cute booties and riding boots at your local Ross, TJMaxx, or even Plato's Closet!

3. Favorite Fall Lipstick? -@x0tiffanylynn0x
I have two favorites that I wear all fall long. The first is "Crush" from the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain line. I wear this color on a regular basis because it's so sheer and you can build it up to your desired color plus you don't have to worry about it getting on your teeth or smudging around so it's perfect for class!

My second all time favorite is "Black Cherry" lipstick from Revlon as well. I've been wearing this color for about 3 years now, and at first I was a little intimidated by it because it was so dark so if it were to smudge it would get all over the place, but I found that if I pair a lipliner with it before I apply the lipstick, it will not budge! This is a color that's definitely a little more bold so I don't really wear it to class a lot, but when I do I always get so many compliments!

"Crush" is on my lips
"Black Cherry" on my lips
4. Hair old for fast growth of hair? -@meghnaarora94
I actually don't use any oils or other products beside my shampoo and the occasional dry shampoo on my hair! I have a really hard time with trying to get my hair to grow, and I found that the shampoo I've been using for the last 2 years was the best for my hair type and was going to do the best job at helping it grow. I also only wash my hair about every 4-5 days because I don't like to strip my hair of the natural oils it has. I have a few oils that my mom has purchased for me though (she says my hair looks a little dry at the ends because I dye it) so I'll let you know if any of those actually work!

This is the shampoo and conditioner that I use! You can get 2 big bottles in a pack for only $5 at Target!

5. Best face cleanser? -@amanjotkaur_
I have pretty good skin so the only face cleanser I really use is the St. Ives Apricot Scrub that gets rid of blackheads. I tend to get very oily on my t-zone during the summer so I use this scrub about once a month or so just to get rid of any impurities that have formed. I have been using this stuff since I was in middle school and it's seriously my holy grail product. If you're looking for a daily cleanser I recommend the Neutragena  Morning Grapefruit Cleanser. I used that for a little bit back when I was in high school and it did a really good job of waking up my skin and making it not be so dull! Hope that helps :)

6. First Kiss? -@nichodemack
I believe my first kiss was in middle school but I can't remember what grade I was in :( It happened when we were playing truth or dare in band class (haha yes I know). Thankfully the kisses after that have been with guys I actually like!

7. Favorite Fall accessories? -@mylilpony_ev
My favorite accessories for fall are definitely big scarves, knee high socks, and big hats! You can most definitely see me wearing one of those 3 things every single day this fall!

Fall Essentials 2014 + My Fall Playlist

Hi guys!
It's finally here, my picks for 2014 Fall Essentials! It took so long to get this post up, because besides sharing all of these essentials for fall, I also shared the links to where you can get all of this stuff online, and the best part is that all of this stuff is under $50! A lot of you guys always ask me where you can get some of the pieces you see me wearing in posts, and so I also was able to find very similar pieces to what I already owned to share with you guys! I hope you all like this post, and happy shopping!

I also went ahead and included a fall playlist of all the songs that I listen to on repeat during the season, as well as included a link to the Spotify Playlist :)

Big Hats
I adore big hats! But there is just something so chic and sophisticated about throwing on a big hat to complete your look. I own only neutral colored hats right now, but my next purchase will definitely be a hat in an oxblood color.  Shop this hat

Sneakers
I don't know about you guys, but sometimes boots just don't cut it for me. Those are the days that I bring out my Ked look a like sneakers and throw on a cute sweater, sometimes a baseball tee, and even a flannel. They're just so versatile and they're super comfy making them a must for all college students out there! Shop these sneakers

Black Handbag
Every girl knows the struggle of finding the perfect black handbag that is good quality, fits all of your things, but also doesn't break the bank. Well, the struggle stops now because I found the most perfect black basic handbag for fall for only $33! You can pair a black handbag with any look and it's so versatile that you can wear it for both work and school! Shop this bag

Black Moto Booties
You guys are always asking me where I got mine from, and since I couldn't find the exact ones that I bought last fall, I found these similar ones. Black moto booties are perfect to throw on over a dress, with a cute skirt and tights, or even with jeans. They add just the right amount of badass to every outfit and again, they're so comfy! Shop those moto booties

Riding Boots
Okay, now we're getting to the truly #basic pieces that every girl needs in her fall wardrobe, but it's because every girl does need a pair of riding boots in her fall wardrobe! I can't even tell you how many times I wore mine last fall and winter, because they're so easy to combine with different looks and outfits. You can go super preppy and pair these with a button down and jeans, or go a little more glam by pair these with a bedazzled sweater, fur vest, mini skirt, & knee high socks. These are my go to shoes during the fall! Shop these boots

Fur Vest

I have had a 4 vest for about 4 years now and I wear it non stop every single fall and winter season. You can throw it on over long sleeve dresses, sweaters, jackets, buttons downs, even flannels. I was on the hunt for a new one this season and this one from H&M is seriously perfect! Go get one before they're sold out! Shop this vest

Flannel

This is the fall staple that I will be buying the most of this season. They have so many colors, styles, prints, and they're super affordable! I love this piece for layering. You can throw this on over a tank to make it more fall appropriate or over a printed tee paired with some dark wash jeans and black moto booties. The things you can do with a flannel are endless. #bringonthegrunge Shop this flannel

Booties

These are the shoes that you can wear year round, but the fall time is the most fun time to wear them because theres just so much you can do with them! Dresses, skirts, jeans, tights, shorts. Pair them with anything and you're good to go. Shop these booties

Sassy Badass

Hi guys!
I hope you're all having a wonderful Friday so far :) I know I am! Today's look of the day is on the outfit that I wore on Tuesday for both class and work. I love how sassy the combination of the sweater and the stripped skirt looks, and the studded boots honestly make me feel a little more on the badass side. These pictures were also shot by my talented friend Chloe (@chloecho_cats on Instagram) and I cannot wait to shoot some more picture with her this upcoming Sunday, so be on the lookout for more upcoming blog posts on outfits :)

Look of the Day- AHS: Coven

Hi guys!
Today's blog post is truly a really exciting one! If you've read my blog before, you have probably picked up on the fact that I LOVE fall. Like seriously. If it could be fall everyday, I would seriously be the happiest person in the world and never ever complain or even have a reason to frown or be down. Fall is just Perfect. Now, I know what you guys are thinking, "but Cynthia, it's not even Fall yet." Well let me let you all in on a little secret, as soon as the weather in Colorado drops below 80 degrees, it is officially fall time for me. I don't care if I'm sweating by like 11am, I will rock my booties, my scarf, and my big hat like it's nobody's business. I'm really excited for today's post, because my amazing and talented friend Chloe (@chloecho_cats on Instagram) has become my official MFYO photographer, meaning that you will be seeing tons of more outfit posts and these "Look of the Day" posts filled with beautiful professional pictures. Most of these won't be my actual OOTD's (we shoot all of my upcoming week posts on one day) so if you still want a look at those, you should go check out my Instagram because I post almost daily OOTD'S!

Today's look was inspired by the super chic witches from American Horror Story: Coven, and I of course added a dash of sass and tried to make it super comfy for those of you who want to wear something similar to class (I wore this exact outfit, minus the floppy hat and the dark lip for class on Monday) and I got so many compliments, so I wanted to share it with all of you :)

Have a great Wednesday!
